The Lights Are Returning in 2008 to Anderson, SC.

A special Thank You to the City Council and The Parks and Recreation Department for approving the 2008 Lights of Hope Christmas Light Display. Barbara Mac of the Parks Dept. assisted us with the paperwork and approval of this years event. This long standing tradition in Anderson, South Carolina will open Thanksgiving Day and run through December 25, 2008.  Volunteers will work on setting up the lights at Darwin Wright Park beginning November 1, 2008. Proceeds from gate receipts will go to Anderson, Oconee and Pickens County charities.

Closed our Office and Warehouse

Our lease with Jim Rash ran out on January 1, 2008 closing our offices and moving operations into our board members homes. We recently purchased the storage trailers from McAbee & Company to store the light displays during the off season. The light displays have been restored to better shape and repainted for maximum display showing.  Lights of Hope will be going “Green” over the next 3 years as we reduce the amount of power we use by switching to LED light bulbs.  We will continue to repair and work on the displays in 2008 for what we hope will be a grand new showing in Anderson during the Holidays of 2008.

A special thank you to all our supporters, the hundreds of calls and manual support to make this possible.
